Makes 6 oz, enough for 1 medium sized pie
mmmmm Pie.
Preparation time for pastry is about 10 minutes, then about half an hour for it to sit.
Ingredients
110g plain flour
50g butter (or margarine)
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp water
Method
1. Measure out and sift the flour and the salt, the sifting should be done holding the sieve up as high as possible. If you don’t have a sieve, then just try to get rid of the lumps in the flour (if there are any).

2. Add in the butter and with your hands rub the butter and the flour together until it is all mixed and looks like crumbs.

3. add in the 2 tablespoons of water and mix together until it forms a nice ball of pastry, if it is still crumbly then just add a little more water (like a teaspoons amount), but not too much as this will ruin the pastry.

4. Take the ball of pastry, put into a food bag (or wrap in cling-film) and put into the fridge for half an hour or so.
