1. Take 1 onion, chop off one end
2. Place onion chopped side down, cut in half
3. Peel onion
4. Holding intact end of a half, cut across the onion, leaving a little attached close to your hand
5. Turn onion-half 90° and cut perpendicular to previous cuts
6. When you reach the end of the inital slices, turn end over and cut across once
7. Then turn over again and cut as close to the end as you can.
8. You now have lots of little onion pieces
You can vary the size of the pieces by cutting either very thin slices or very thick slices for no further effort.
